Five families. One grading scale. No mystery pallets.

From a 12-inch cube to a 60-inch lined harvest bin, plus the honeycomb panel and displays we press from board that can no longer be a box.

New & custom boxes

Sometimes a lane genuinely needs a virgin box — export, food contact, regulated goods. We stock new stock sizes and run custom dies, with recycled content as high as the spec allows.

Pallets & accessories

A box rarely travels alone. Recovered GMA pallets, gaylord lids, poly and foil liners, corner boards, slip sheets, strapping and stretch film — all reclaimed where we can get it.

Specialist pages

Some product lines need more than a family page. These are the ones customers ask the most detailed questions about.

One scale, everywhere

Every family is graded the same four ways.

The grade is written on the quote, not implied by the price. This table is the whole standard.

The full grading standard

ReBoxes grading standard
GradeMeansWhat it looks likeTypically used for
ALike newUsed once, no print bleed-through, square corners, no scuffing on flaps. Often a single-trip freight box or an over-run that never shipped.Direct resale, retail-facing, export
BGood, light wearMinor surface scuffs, light creasing on one panel, clean interior. All flaps intact and fully functional.Internal logistics, bulk shipping, storage
CUsable, visible wearVisible creasing, labels or tape residue, possible small tears away from load-bearing edges. Still holds a stack.Scrap collection, in-plant totes, one-way moves
DRecovery onlyDelaminated, crushed flutes or moisture-stained. We bale these as OCC rather than resell them.Baled OCC → paper mill
Strength ratings

Mullen and ECT, side by side.

Two tests measuring two different failure modes. The equivalences below exist because carriers historically specified Mullen — treat them as conversational rather than contractual, and pick the test that matches how your boxes actually fail.

“Max size sum” is length plus width plus depth. Exceeding it voids the certification even if the box is physically capable, which matters in a freight claim.

Board weight

What a square foot of each build actually weighs.

The number you need to turn a die-line area into a shipping weight, a carbon figure or a freight class. Multiply blank area in square feet by the figure below.

The arithmetic

Ten conversions we use every day.

None of these are difficult. All of them are regularly got wrong, usually by a factor of 1,728.

Working conversions

Cubic inchesCubic feet÷ 1,72848 × 40 × 36 = 69,120 in³ = 40.0 ft³

Choosing between the five

Start with what happens to the box afterwards

It is the question that most changes the answer and the one almost nobody is asked. If the container comes back — even internally, even occasionally — a reusable triple-wall unit in a managed pool usually beats single-use procurement on total cost by a wide margin. If it goes out and never returns, you are buying a one-way shipper and the whole calculation is different.

Then density, then footprint, then grade

  • Density decides height. Light material wants tall containers and cube; dense material wants low-side containers and strength.
  • Footprint decides everything downstream. Measure the pallets you actually own, because a 48 × 40 GMA runs from 47.5 to 48.5 inches in practice and half an inch of overhang costs about three trips of container life.
  • Grade decides price more than volume does. Grade A for customer-facing, B for anything that stacks in a rack, C for one-way moves and scrap collection.
  • Style decides reuse life. A full-overlap 0203 or a telescoping 0310 survives reuse markedly better than a standard 0201, for a small amount of extra board.

A note on the word 'used'

On its own it is meaningless. It covers everything from a box that shipped once in a dry trailer to one that spent a winter on grass behind a building. Every quote we issue names a grade from our published four-point scale with the definition attached, because that is the only way the conversation is about a specific panel rather than two people's adjectives.

Lead times

How long each thing actually takes.

Measured from a confirmed order, not from the first email. Artwork approval and procurement onboarding sit outside these figures and are usually the real critical path.

Grade A, photographed

This is what the top of our scale actually looks like.

Used once, no print bleed-through, corners still sharp, flaps clean. Around 11 to 16 per cent of a typical inbound stream grades out at A, which is why it carries a premium rather than a small uplift over B.

We photograph the actual lot before you commit. Not stock imagery, not a representative sample — the pallet you would receive, with the grade notes attached.
